Inspiring passion for tennis while  cultivating academic excellence.

The GSTEF is a ‘not for profit’ 501(c)3 organization that was established in 2011. It is recognized by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as an official Community Tennis Association. The goal of the GSTEF is to provide opportunities to everyone in the Baltimore County, MD community and surrounding area to learn and play tennis. The GSTEF works in cooperation with the USTA, the Mid-Atlantic Tennis and Education Foundation, and school systems in Baltimore County and surrounding areas.

Strategic Objectives

Work in cooperation with the United States Tennis Association to provide opportunities for both adults and youth to learn and play tennis.

Initiate and/or maintain tennis leagues for adults and youth.

Conduct United States Tennis Association sanctioned tournaments. Support community outreach programs that will provide tennis instruction as well as guidance on scholarship opportunities for college-bound youth.

Support youth programs that provide tennis instruction and academic tutoring to the area’s underserved youth population allowing them to grow both academically and athletically in life.

Provide information regarding tennis activities, opportunities and resources in the greater Baltimore County area.

Promote tennis as an affordable, life-long sport to be enjoyed by persons of all ages.

To help disabled people to play tennis, primarily but not exclusively in the following areas:- wheelchair tennis; tennis for the deaf; tennis for people with learning disabilities and tennis for the visually impaired.
